Chelsea Kneip completed her education and training in clinical psychology at Michigan State University (B.S., M.A.), and she has had additional training in Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFCT). Chelsea works collaboratively with children, adolescents, adults, and couples facing a wide range of difficulties. She believes that her clients are the experts of their own experience, and her goal is to help them lead fulfilling and productive lives in line with their own values and goals. She considers the recipe for mental health and well-being to be multifaceted, and in developing a treatment plan, she takes into consideration a wide range of factors in clients' lives, including histories such as early childhood experiences and physical health, quality and nature of current and past relationships, and environmental factors such as access to resources and cultural influences. Chelsea provides a safe, non-judgmental therapeutic environment while offering warmth and understanding. She welcomes clients of all racial and ethnic backgrounds, religions, sexual orientations, and gender identities.
