Hello, I believe that making the decision to reach out for therapeutic supports for you and your loved ones is a personal decision. I am honored to walk along side you in your journey. I believe in a Person Centered approach; allowing us to define the goals and areas of focus together in your journey.
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and have over 18 years of experience proving therapy services to youth and their families. My primary focus is working with children and their families in learning how to overcoming traumas or adjusting to new events in life. This can include learning new coping skills, learning to make meaning of life experiences, and increasing future safety. I am trained in TFCBT, EMDR, CBT, Motivational Interviewing and other therapeutic models. I utilized play therapy and art therapy in sessions with children and families. I have worked with children and their families in foster care and adopted children. I have experience working with children who have experienced sexual, physical or emotional abuse. I have provided therapy in a Children’s Advocacy Center, Foster Care Outpatient Counseling program, and in a home based community setting. I have also developed a Neurodevelopmental Trauma Assessment program and provided trauma assessments to children. Prior to obtaining my masters degree, I worked in a community based setting with parents and new borns.
In addition to my years of experience as a clinician, I have provided supervision to other clinicians for the last 15 years. I currently provide licensure supervision for Michigan LLPCs working to obtain their LPC licensure. I also provide case consultation for clinicians of any discipline looking for supervision or guidance on challenging cases.
I look forward to working with you in your journey.
