After finding that the helping-profession is where I wanted to be during my sophomore year of undergraduate school, my passion for others who are facing hardship at any capacity has grown significantly with each passing day. Through my past work as a clinical school-based therapist treating at-risk youth, a home-based behavioral therapist for the developmentally disabled population, and my current position as an outpatient mental health therapist serving primarily adolescents and young adults, I have found that my true purpose is to offer the training and knowledge I have attained to assist others in life progression.
As a clinical therapist, I most-often use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy strategies with the integration of mindfulness techniques. I base the therapy process on the needs of my client and touch-base intermittently on goals that were identified at the start of treatment. I am consistently utilizing motivational interviewing, reflection, paraphrasing, and creating an opportunity for critical thought. Within every interaction, I am dedicated to allowing my client to feel safe, understood, and heard.
I value each and every interaction within this profession- with hopes that another person will find overall contentment in their lives, regardless of the heaviness of the hardship. I truly look forward to the possibility of taking part in your journey toward improved mental health and quality of life.
