Hello and welcome!
I believe that therapy should be a welcoming and judgment free experience. I graduated from Western Michigan University with a degree in Family Studies and received my masters degree in clinical social work from Wayne State University. I have been practicing social work since 2014.
My background is working with children and their families in various life stages and settings. Coupled with motivational interviewing, strength based, solution focused, and, cognitive behavioral therapies, I use person centered approaches that focus on the whole person to facilitate learning and growth.
I believe there are many different roads to growth, that all people are generally resilient, and have intrinsic resources to help them navigate difficult situations, and life experiences.
Sometimes however, we get stuck, or it is difficult to know where to start. Sometimes we loose focus and it is difficult to identify personal attributes that can mindfully direct our journey in a positive direction. An objective, well trained, and trustworthy therapist can be key to helping you identify personal attributes that will lead you in a more harmonious and meaningful life. Working together we will use integrative and evidenced based approaches to help you identify and master your goals.
