As a Limited Licensed Professional Counselor, I am dedicated to assisting my clients in their pursuit of mental, emotional, and social growth. This can be achieved by using therapy as a space to explore emotions, experiences, relationships, and personal identity. My therapeutic approach is grounded in empathy, warmth, personal empowerment, practical coping skills, as well as non-judgemental curiosity. Therapy can often feel like a very vulnerable process – so, I always feel honored to be a part of my clients’ lives and I value the therapeutic relationship we share.
As stated above, I am a Limited Licensed Professional Counselor (LLPC) and have also obtained the National Counselor Certification (NCC). I received my master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Eastern Michigan University. During my practicum and internship clinical training, I worked with college students in a community mental health setting. Additionally, I have specialized experience working with those experiencing perinatal mental health concerns and other challenges related to parenthood. I enjoy working with adults of all ages and from all walks of life, with a specialty working with women and those who identify as part of the LGBTQIA+ community. I have experience treating a broad scope of mental health concerns including depression, anxiety, obsessive compulsive disorder, relationship conflicts, identity concerns, grief/loss, trauma, and postpartum anxiety/depression.
