Zach Breunig is a graduate of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln where he earned his Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy with specialization in Medical Family Therapy. Zach is a practicing Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist for the past seven years who works with couples, families, and individuals ages 10+.
Zach carries a strong belief in the power of resilience and in the capability of individuals, couples, and families to create change. He will walk alongside you in the process of therapeutic change while recognizing that you are the expert on your life. He guides you through the change process with understanding, comfort, and support while challenging you in meaningful ways to reach your goals.
Zach utilizes a multitude of therapeutic approaches to help you reach your therapeutic goals. He utilizes Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), the Gottman Method to couple's therapy, Discernment Counseling strategies, Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), mindfulness strategies, and strengths-based approaches. Above all, Zach believes in the strength of a trusting and collaborative therapeutic relationship, which he utilizes to ensure that therapy is a place of safety and comfort while empowering change for each individual.
